Dr. Michael Nelson
Doctor of Dental Medicine
A Fort Gibson native, Dr. Michael Nelson has been providing quality dental care to residents of Fort Gibson and the surrounding area for 28 years. He was born and raised in Fort Gibson and attended Fort Gibson public schools graduating in 1984. He completed his undergraduate studies at Northeastern State University and was accepted into the University of Oklahoma School of Dentistry in 1988. Dr. Nelson graduated in 1992 with his dental doctorate and went back to his hometown, built his office and began seeing patients on December 3, 1992.
He has always had the philosophy of treating his patients like they are family and because of this has been blessed with many wonderful, loyal patients. He credits his wonderful staff for his success and takes pride in the fact that they have been part of his practice for many years and he loves them dearly.
Dr. Nelson's greatest joy has been his wonderful wife and three children. He has been" coach Mike" to many kids over the years and is proud to have coached a baseball or basketball team for 18 consecutive years as his kids were growing up. He enjoys being outdoors hunting, fishing and spending time at the lake with is family during his free time.
Dr. Lauren Means
Doctor of Dental Medicine
Dr. Lauren Means was born and raised in Oklahoma. She pursued her undergraduate degree at the University of Oklahoma and graduated with a degree in biology. Dr. Lauren graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry and received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
Dr. Lauren is a member of the American Dental Association and Oklahoma Dental Association. Her goal is to provide comprehensive care that focuses on families. She believes in the importance of treating patients like family and providing them with a comfortable experience. Dr. Lauren's scope of dental expertise includes procedures such as fillings, crowns, removable dentures, extractions, root canals, teeth whitening and more.
In her free time, Dr. Lauren loves spending time with her fiancé, Jonathan, and her two dogs, George and Sammy. She loves being outdoors, hiking and kayaking, baking, and spending time with her family and friends.
We are excited to have Dr. Lauren join us in Fort Gibson! She can't wait to meet you!
